Will the extension work on Edge and Brave too?

Yes. Edge, Brave, Opera, and Arc all support the Chromium extension API. A Manifest V3 extension built for Chrome runs on all Chromium browsers without modification. We test on Chrome and Edge during the build. Firefox uses a slightly different API surface, so if Firefox support is critical we scope that as an add on.

How long does Chrome Web Store review take?

Typically one to three business days for new extensions. We submit on Day 13 so the listing is live by Day 15 at the latest. The most common delay is permission justification. We write the privacy disclosure and permission rationale during the build so the review goes smoothly. Extensions with minimal permissions (no host access to all URLs) get approved faster.

The extension runs three execution contexts. The popup provides the main UI using React and Tailwind, compiled to a lightweight bundle that opens instantly. Content scripts inject into target web pages to read DOM data or overlay custom UI elements. The background service worker handles API communication, data processing, and message passing between contexts. All three communicate through Chrome's messaging API. User data syncs between devices via chrome.storage.sync for settings and a PostgreSQL backend for account data. The companion web dashboard shares the same API and database, letting users access their data outside the browser.
